Dr. Michal Waisman-Nitzan

ד״ר מיכל ויסמן ניצןPh.D, OT, has 27 years of experience in rehabilitation as an occupational therapist, mostly among children and adolescence with neuro developmental disabilities. She is a research and teaching fellow at the Occupational Therapy Department, Faculty of Social Welfare, Health Sciences, University of Haifa. Her research and teaching focuses on different aspects of a supportive and accessible environment (policy, attitudes, social, physical and technology), for expanding the participation of people with disabilities in educational and vocational contexts. Dr. Waisman-Nitzan also focuses on developing Knowledge Translation (KT) strategies to accelerate the uptake of participation-focused interventions by stakeholders (front-line clinicians, managers, policy-makers) in the educational context.
